Montreal, QC, Canada | Day 1

Have you ever been so exhausted to a point where you are like “I’m done. All I want right now is my bed and my snuggle bear”? Yep. That was me, on my 3rd day of the Canada trip. Now, you all must be questioning “3rd day? but the title says day 1”? Well no disturbances, I’ll explain it to you lovelies. It’s technically the 3rd day of the overall vacation but it’s day 1 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, haha!

Today was the third day of my Canada trip. The distance from the Quebec City to Montreal is about 3-hour drive. My family and I woke up pretty early because we had to pack everything, load the car and head out on the roads to Montreal. Since the travel was about 3 hours, I got out of the shower and put on my sweats. I have this thing where if the travel is more than an hour long, I get in the car in my sweats, baggy shirts and hair all tied up. I also throw in my blank to take naps in the car, Sleeping Beauty.

There was SO much traffic on the route. We left at around 9 AM, we arrived there at 2 PM – 5 hours. It was frenetic but the naps and the stops along the way were something to cherish and will remain in my heart forever.

No matter where you are in the world, if you are with your loved ones, every moment spent with them becomes a memory to cherish for a lifetime. ❤

When we got there, we parked at the Mount Royal Lookout. Though we had to hike a little, the view was BREATHTAKING! “Sometimes, some things are work taking a risk for” and hiking in a maxi with sandals on was hands-down worth it. I was a little worried for a second because I was afraid I’d break my sandals since hiking is usually done by wearing proper attire such as sports shoes, etc..

Skyline of Montreal, Quebec 😍

I spent about an hour or so there – just appreciating the scene. They also had a souvenir shop but since I already took pictures on my camera for memories, I did not find the need to purchase a souvenir. Later that day, we went to the Montreal downtown and walked around. The city is just like the Old Quebec City but it also has a story of its own. One thing I fell unconditionally in love with was the Notre Dame Church. Unfortunately, it was closed that day so we couldn’t go in but the outside is as wonderful as it is from the inside. Maitri PatelIMG_0203I just walked around, window shopped until dinner time. For dinner, I went to this beautiful restaurant, I forgot the name of it, but the food was Delightful. I would go there right now if I could to grab a bite but unfortunately, it’s 5 hours away from my house, shemur.

White Creme Pasta

In Quebec, I had a virgin mojito drink so for today’s dinner, I decided to keep it simple and go with our good old plain water. I sometimes enjoy just having water with my meals, because it helps me stay hydrated when I need it the most such as when I’m on the trips, which involves traveling and walking around the city.

Montreal also has some beautiful art galleries which I thought was very unique because where I live, I rarely get a chance to see such shops.

Below are some pictures, lets all take a moment and admire their art work! IMG_3448IMG_3449IMG_3450
